Lyudmila Sorokina
GSGA Founder

Lyudmila has been part of the gymnastics community since the age of six. She started off as a competitive gymnast in the Ukraine when it was part of the Soviet Union. She trained among world class athletes and achieved elite status while in the Ukraine. During this time, she discovered her passion for working with kids and teaching the sport she loves. She also discovered great success in dance and became a choreographer. Her abilities in choreography is what brought her and her family to the United States in October of 1999.

Since moving to Georgia, she has excelled in dance and in teaching gymnastics. Her students have qualified in State, Regional, and National competitions throughout her teaching career. Recently she has had the chance to start two beginner teams and within three years her girls regularly won first place and have easily qualified to State and Regional Championships. Lyudmila now feels that she is ready for a new chapter in her life. That is why she has decided the next step in her gymnastics career is to own and run her own gymnastics facility. She is excited for this new journey and where it will lead.
